The journey into midwifery began with the birth of my own children. The first a classic medical hospital induction and the second in a hospital with a nurse midwife.I truly desired birth at home . Back then in Virginia there were no legal midwives in 2004 for my first and only one with my second. After the birth of my daughter in 2007 I felt called into serving women and families. The very first birth I attended was a friend of mine in 2008. That confirmed midwifery was where I should be. I volunteered doula services to friends and read every book I could get. In 2009-2010 I spent a year working for local home birth midwife. From there years of self study, volunteer doula service and didactic education from a midwifery program. Once my children were a little more grown up I started a full apprenticeship in January 2015. I sat for my NARM exam to receive the CPM credential in January of 2018 and VA state license in Febuary 2018. I have decided to change my practice location to beautiful east Tennesee. Received TN license in May 2023. On-going continuing education in the form of workshops and continuing education credits.

I must say, if i could give Erin 10 stars i absolutely would. Being a first time mother at such a young age it’s so many people who’d love to discourage homebirths but with Erin it’s a complete safe space. she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about her services and goes above and beyond to provide the comfort and reassurance needed to deliver a healthy baby in the heart of your home. Switched to her after being with TPMG for 28 weeks and it was the best decision i’ve ever made, the care was unmatched. Each visit it’s shown that she loves what she does. I’m so grateful i was recommended to her.

Erin is amazing! Very caring, supportive, & respectful. I was 35 weeks when my husband & I decided to switch to a midwife & we were so content when we found her. She showed us that she was trustworthy, gave good advice, & she was always there for us when needed. She made my birth experience a breeze compared to my thoughts; being that this was my first home birth. 6hrs of an amazing experience. We highly recommend!
